FASHION: SUSTAINABLE WAYS TO GET RID OF SWIMWEAR
Swimwear may last for years, but when it’s time to let go—whether due to wear, damage, or simply a style change—there are sustainable ways to say goodbye. Experts recommend never throwing swimsuits in the trash, as they’ll end up in landfills. Instead, extend their life by hand-washing with gentle detergent, air-drying, and choosing high-quality, low-synthetic materials when buying new. For disposal, consider resale platforms like Poshmark or The RealReal, brand take-back programs (such as Reformation’s RefRecycling), local donation centers, or textile drop-offs at farmers’ markets or nonprofits like Planet Aid. Even old suits can find second lives—from vineyard tools to recycled fibers—if you opt for planet-friendly routes.
TRAVEL: BEST HOTEL POOLS FOR SCENIC SWIMS
There’s something magical about that first dip in a hotel pool—when vacation truly begins and time slows down. While pools may not be the reason you book a stay, they often reflect the soul of the resort. From cliffside plunge pools in South Africa to infinity pools nestled in Sri Lankan tea plantations, this roundup of the world’s most scenic hotel pools offers more than just a swim—it delivers unforgettable views and a deep sense of place. Whether it's floating above the jungles of Bali, lounging beneath ancient Redwoods in Big Sur, or soaking in Santorini’s volcanic charm, these 32 pools blend relaxation with awe-inspiring backdrops, each one offering a swim worth planning a trip around.

WELLNESS: THIS IS THE FUN FORM OF CARDIO FOR YOU
If you’re a lover of some movement to the beat, but dread cardio otherwise, fear not because dancing can absolutely count as cardio—as long as it gets your heart rate high enough. The intensity (and structure) of the dance session determines its effectiveness as cardiovascular exercise, so maybe don’t consider that free-flow yoga routine as cardio. According to experts, moderate to vigorous dancing a few times a week can improve your heart health, mood, coordination, and even brain function. Not to mention, since you’re using a good amount of energy, your rest can be better at night.
Sometimes you want a moment (or a few hours) of quietness around & this is what you want playing in the background. A crackling fireplace & cozy imagery.

ON HARD WORK: I’m a greater believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it. – Thomas Jefferson
While luck might seem random, it's definitely a result of consistent effort and dedication. People who work hard tend to create more opportunities for success, making it appear as though they are "lucky." In reality, their discipline, persistence, and readiness put them in the right place at the right time. Create good fortune through your actions.

LONDON, UK
EAT: London has some of the best restaurants in the world. For brunch consider Duck & Waffle — not only is their food delicious, the views are incredible and they’re open 24/7. Grab a drink (or afternoon tea) at the underground speakeasy-style bar, Cahoots. If you happen to be in Harrods, they have quite the selection in their dining hall from pasta and pizza to coffee and Asian food. If you love Japanese, make a reservation at Sexy Fish — both the food and decor are worthwhile. But for Italian, consider Jacuzzi. If you’re in London, it’s a must to schedule an afternoon tea — Peter Pan themed or a classic at the Ritz.
STAY: London has many hotels and airbnb-type accommodations to choose from. 1 Hotel Mayfair is a favorite of ours — located close by to Hyde Park. The Shangri-La has stunning views of the entire city. If you’re traveling with a group, consider Cheval Three Quays which has a great view of the Thames River. It’s important to check the map and see which area you’d like to be in and book a hotel around that specific area.
DO: Take a walk in the 350-acre Hyde Park or hire a boat. For luxury shopping, visit Harrods or King’s Road in Chelsea. Visit the exterior of the Buckingham Palace. You can also visit the Natural History Museum.
