BEAUTY: NAIL PSORIASIS IS A THING
If you’ve noticed any discoloration or thickening of your nails, you may be dealing with nail psoriasis. This is a condition where the immune system mistakenly attacks nail cells, leading to inflammation and various symptoms like discoloration, thickening, and brittleness of the nails. It can affect people of any age (though it's most common in adults) and may occur with or without having skin psoriasis. Depending on the severity or even localized steroid injections. Note: it can take up to 6 months to visually notice a difference.
LIFESTYLE: GEN-Z DEFINING LUXURY
The perception of luxury among Gen Z (ages 14-27) is evolving as they gain more spending power. While previously associated with "dupe culture" - seeking cheaper alternatives to high-end products, they are now moving towards genuine luxury items, particularly in the secondhand market. Rather than embracing knock-offs, Gen Z appears to be developing an appreciation for authentic luxury items, sometimes seeking unique or hard-to-find pieces.
REAL ESTATE: A MOODY MOUNTAIN HOME WITH MAJOR ALTITUDE
You read that title right, altitude not attitude. 9,500 feet above sea level, in Mexico, there’s a vacation home commissioned by Lorena Ramos and Carlos Moss. They spent ~$548,000 to purchase the land and build a 2,400sq-ft house designed by architect Rodrigo Saavedra Pérez-Salas. The unique design features a cantilever that suspends the structure off a wooded slope, creating a treehouse-like atmosphere. Originally intended for weekend getaways, the couple now needs to adapt the space for their newborn son, Nicolás, investing in babyproofing measures while maintaining the home's minimalist aesthetic and connection to nature.
