LIFESTYLE: DISNEY HIKES TICKET PRICES AGAIN
Disney has increased prices for most tickets at the Disneyland Resort in California, with single-day and multi-day tickets increasing. The most expensive single-day adult ticket now costs $206, marking the first time it has exceeded $200. Despite these increases, the lowest-priced adult single-day ticket remains unchanged at $104, available on 34 days of the year. Disneyland has also raised prices for its Magic Key annual passes, with increases ranging from 6.1% to 20%. While these price hikes may impact some visitors, Disney continues to offer various promotions and options to accommodate different budgets, including a recent offer for discounted children's tickets.

WELLNESS: HOW TO START STRENGTH TRAINING
It’s time to add strength training as an exercise because it has known to reduce the risk of all-cause mortality, decrease symptoms of depression, among other benefits. However, weight training can be a little intimidating (especially the machines). Typically in the strength training area of a gym there will be machines and free weights, with benches. Starting off using the machines can be an easy way to get into strength training — either ask a trainer at the gym for a machine tour or see how others are doing the exercises. Once you’ve mastered a few of the machines, you can start incorporating the free weights for lunges, squats, or bicep curls.

TRAVEL: DO YOU PREFER HARD OR SOFT LUGGAGE?
The debate is no longer window or aisle seat, now it’s between hard or soft? We’re talking about luggage of course, and this debate has intensified recently with more traveling on the rise. Hard-shell options are gaining popularity due to improved materials and people seeing the way luggage is tossed onto aircrafts — not so gently. Both types have their advocates, with hard-shell fans saying durability + aesthetics is a must, while soft-sided supporters appreciate flexibility and ease of packing. It essentially comes down to personal preference, travel necessities, and generational factors, because it’s noted that younger travelers often favoring the sleek look of hard-shell luggage.

The Purge is a thriller/horror series where all crime is legal for 1 night of the year and emergency services are suspended. Starring Ethan Hawke and Lena Headey, leading up to Halloween, this film is a must. If you end up liking this one, you can watch the many others in the series.

FALL BLAZERS

ON PLANNING: If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail. — Benjamin Franklin

Sometimes going the extra mile to plan for a trip or simply plan out your next day can lead to a better outcome. For example if you want to dine at a popular restaurant, you’ll want to plan ahead of time to ensure that you’re able to get the reservation. Planning out your day the night before allows you to focus on the important tasks and ultimately, manage your time.

It’s spooktober which means scary (and/or nostalgic) movies are a must! If you grew up on Halloweentown, Hocus Pocus, Casper the Friendly Ghost, and grew up to love the Michael Meyers remakes, Insidious series, and IT…this is your calling!
