💌 she's a 10 but, anxiety and gut health, open roles at buzzworthy companies
TODAY IS WEDNESDAY, MARCH 26

WHAT TO EXPECT
• stories: gut health = mental health, butter skin, cutecore is the latest trend
• listen to this: She’s A 10 But…
• in collaboration with: Cozy Earth
• job seekers: Accounting manager, beauty editor, social media & community manager
• extra stories
• quote: on resilience
• bon voyage: Sydney, Australia

WELLNESS: ANXIETY AND GUT HEALTH ARE MAJORLY RELATED
In today’s social media testimony time, there is truly no doubt of a strong connection between gut health and mental health, such as anxiety and stress impacting gut conditions. A few studies actually suggest that people with anxiety have less diversity in their gut microbiome, lower levels of beneficial bacteria, & an overgrowth of pro-inflammatory bacteria. Probiotic supplements and consuming quite a bit of fermented foods can help improve this balance and ease anxious feelings. There’s a reason that medical professionals say your gut is your second brain, but majorly affects your first. In the womb, we begin developing from the belly button, and your brain comes later, so naturally your body is inclined to react according to your gut as you grow!
BEAUTY: BUTTER SKIN
Butter skin is the latest beauty trend taking over TikTok, favoring a soft, radiant, and velvety complexion that looks like makeup is melting seamlessly into your skin—kind of like butter on warm toast. Unlike glass skin’s dewy shine, butter skin is all about creamy textures and deeply hydrating skincare that creates a smooth, luminous base. Think rich moisturizers with ceramides, peptides, and plant butters (like Rhode’s Barrier Butter or Byoma’s Rich Cream) paired with lightweight, low-coverage makeup that enhances your natural glow. Stick foundations, sheer blushes, and multitasking products like Charlotte Tilbury’s Lip & Cheek or Natasha Denona’s Cloudy Creams help complete the look, blending effortlessly for that barely-there, buttery finish.
FASHION: CUTECORE IS IN AS THE LATEST TREND
After years of quiet luxury dominating the realm of fashion, the industry is now shifting towards individuality, nostalgia, and lots of heavy character. Enter *drum roll* cutecore — an aesthetic that embraces childhood favorites like toys and plushies. Rooted in Japan’s kawaii culture, cutecore brought back bag charms, with plushies like Labubu, Miffy, and Monchhichi becoming trendy accessories for designer bags! Celebrities like Dua Lipa are actually really bringing this trend to the front row by adding these quirky charms to their luxury handbags. Designer brands like Coach and Miu Miu are also incorporating plushie-inspired bag charms into their runway collections!

“She’s A 10 But…” by ARTAN and Spencer Elmer is the kind of track that hooks you with cheeky charm and keeps you around with its laid-back, vibey production. It's playful, a little provocative, and taps into the dating discourse with a wink—perfect for anyone who's ever had a "she's a 10 but..." moment of their own.

ON RESILIENCE: Never take no personally. Sometimes people tell you no for a reason that has nothing to do with you. You must keep going. — Sofia Vergara
In life, rejection often reflects someone else’s circumstances—not your worth or potential. Take the “no,” learn from it if you can, and keep moving forward with confidence in your path.

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA
EAT: Quay at The Rocks is the place you want to be if you’re a fan of the Opera House. You’ll get stunning views of that and the Harbour Bridge while enjoying a modern Australian cuisine. It’s fine dining and their menu focuses on seasonal + local ingredients so if you visit once, it may differ the next! Located near Quay, Aria is called the best waterfront restaurant in Sydney! It’s a refined dining experience and has quite an impressive wine list. We also have to give an honorable mention to Tetsuya’s, which closed after 37 years! It had a Japanese-French fusion menu with multiple courses.
STAY: For a luxurious harbor-side stay that gives you waterfront views, check out The Park Hyatt. It’s got a rooftop pool, front seat views of the Opera House, and a spa! A relaxing stay at its finest. The Langham Sydney is your option if you’re vibing with a sophisticated boutique spot. If you know them or have stayed at a location, then you know it’s an upscale but homey feel while there. Here, you’ll get to experience super spacious rooms, an indoor heated pool, and even afternoon tea!
DO: For the lovers of outdoor activities (and if you have time, because it can take 3+ hours), try the Harbour Bridge Climb. You’ll get to climb to the summit of the iconic bridge for 360º views of the city! On the other hand, if you’re in the mood to see some animals, 5000 animals from over 350 species in particular, head to the Taronga Zoo. They’re all about the conservation of wildlife & sustainability.
