BEAUTY: THIS MACHINE WILL TELL YOU HOW YOUR SKIN WILL AGE
L'Oréal recently unveiled their Cell BioPrint device which is a tabletop machine developed with NanoEnTek, that analyzes skin health by measuring specific protein levels through a facial tape strip sample. The device processes this data along with photos of your skin to provide personalized insights about skin age, aging rate, and potential future concerns — all within a 5-minute session! L'Oréal has a decade of protein research, particularly focusing on collagen, elastin, and skin barrier proteins. With this backing, the device recommends products from L'Oréal's variety of products that could address both current and predicted skin issues.

LIFESTYLE: 2025 IS FOR SIDE QUESTS
If 2024 felt like a blur and you’re ready to break free from routine in 2025, it’s time to embrace the side quest lifestyle. Popularized on TikTok, this trend wants people to add spontaneous, quirky adventures into their daily life to make it more meaningful and fun. A side quest can be as simple as visiting a new coffee shop or as bold as taking a last-minute trip. TikTok creators are sharing their own side quest journeys — from hot air balloon rides to volunteering at goat sanctuaries — inspiring others to say “yes” to unexpected moments. Whether you plan them or stumble upon them, side quests remind you to live fully, turning ordinary days into something extraordinary!

FASHION: CAPRIS IN THE WINTER
The capris trend is currently undergoing a revival from their early 2000s jam. Fashion experts are saying that they’re here to stay for quite some time and that there are many ways to incorporate these calf-length pants into winter wardrobes. Styling suggestions include layering them over black opaque or lace tights, paired with fur-lined boots or leather booties for cold-weather practicality. While 2024 saw form-fitting capris dominate, the trend is evolving toward looser, more relaxed fits that allow for additional layering underneath. This shift in silhouette is making capris more versatile for both daytime wear and winter styling options.

ON EMPOWERMENT: At any moment, you are one good choice away from a meaningfully better life. — JAMES CLEAR

At times we may overcomplicate things and create self-made barriers, when in fact it’s about small choices. Our small decisions can open many doors that will allow us to lead a completely different lifestyle.
