WELLNESS: WHEN DOES THE HUMAN BRAIN PEAK?
What scientists know is that cognitive decline isn’t a simple downward spiral—it’s nuanced, personal, and shaped by both biology and behavior. While brain growth is rapid through childhood and continues into our twenties, certain abilities like memory and processing speed begin to subtly decline as early as age 25. Still, not all functions deteriorate at once; while skills like working memory may fade, others—like vocabulary, wisdom, and decision-making—actually strengthen well into middle age. By our fifties and sixties, these changes become more noticeable, not necessarily as signs of dementia but as typical markers of healthy aging. Lifestyle factors like blood pressure and cholesterol also begin to play a bigger role in cognitive health. Ultimately, while some cognitive abilities slow, others deepen, reminding us that aging is less about loss—and more about shifting strengths.
LIFESTYLE: THE EVERYTHING SHOWER IS A MUST
There are two types of showers: the quick, easy rinse and the indulgent "everything shower"—a thorough, intentional ritual that’s aimed to cleanse, exfoliate, and pamper yourself from head to toe. Think of it as part spa session & part self-care ceremony where you can focus on deep hydration and ultra smoothness. If you’re an everything shower person, then you know that you come out of it needing water from being in the steaminess. If you deal with dry skin, you’ll want to focus on nourishing scalp oils, hydrating body washes, and sealing in moisture with rich creams + ointments afterwards. If your main ideal is to walk out of there with barbie smoothness, then it's all about exfoliation, both on the face and body. Remember, the end goal of an everything shower is to come out feeling brand new, so do what your body requires & make a ritual out of it, even once a week!
BUSINESS: AWAY TRAVEL HAS A NEW CEO
Luggage brand Away is entering a new chapter as Jessica Schinazi steps into the CEO role, while co-founder Jen Rubio transitions to executive chair of the board. The leadership change was planned, and Rubio will continue shaping Away’s long-term vision. Schinazi, who joined the company as president in late 2024 after stints at Dyson, Amazon, and LVMH, is now tasked with scaling the brand through innovation and customer connection. This marks another shift in Away’s evolving leadership story, following Rubio’s tenure as CEO since 2021. The change comes as the brand grows beyond its DTC roots—launching on Amazon, expanding into Nordstrom stores, and introducing soft-sided luggage to complement its iconic hardshell suitcases. Despite industry-wide price changes, Away recently announced it’s keeping prices steady.
Call Her Alex is a two part docu-series on Hulu that follows the life and career of Alex Cooper, the host of the popular podcast, "Call Her Daddy". It explores her childhood & how she became a media mogul, including her time as a college soccer player, the launch of her podcast, and the challenges she faced along the way.

SUNNIES

ON BEING THERE FOR YOURSELF: At the end of the day, you are your longest commitment—show up for yourself like you would for someone you love — ANON
While relationships and responsibilities come and go, the one constant in your life is you. Just like you'd support a friend or show up for a loved one in tough times, you deserve that same energy from yourself. Being there for yourself means setting boundaries, listening to your needs, and treating yourself with compassion and respect. It’s not selfish—it’s foundational. When you consistently show up for yourself, you build resilience, confidence, and a sense of inner peace that no one else can give you.
