WEALTH: SHOPIFY STOCK PLUNGES BY 20%
Shopify reported losses in their 1st quarter which caused the stock to drop by 20% — the most in the history of the company. Despite having revenues of $1.9 billion during the quarter, they were unable to control expenses hence leading to a loss of $273 million. TRAVEL: AIRBNB’S TAKE ON STARTING A LOYALTY PROGRAM
Airbnb’s CEO said that they’re probably not going to implement a traditional points-based loyalty program. Instead, he wants a more personalized approach to better understand each customer's preferences, or as he said “so that every time you use us, we can learn about you, understand you, know you”. One option being explored is an Amazon Prime-like paid subscription model to fund enhanced services.

81% of young adults are saying that a 4-day workweek would boost their productivity. The companies that have started testing this have said that employee burnout has been mitigated while an increase in performance. 60% of people also prefer to work in office vs at home.
