BUSINESS: AMAZON DEBUTS NEW STORE TO TAKE ON TEMU & SHEIN
Amazon has launched "Amazon Haul," a new discount storefront accessible through its mobile app, competing with retailers like Temu and Shein. The platform offers a wide range of products including apparel, home goods, and electronics, all priced under $20, with items like eyelash curlers available for as low as $1. Following a similar business model to its competitors, Amazon sources products directly from Chinese manufacturers to maintain ultra-low prices, and offers free shipping on orders over $25 with delivery promised within two weeks. The company is betting that customers will accept the trade-off of longer shipping times for significantly lower prices.

WORK LIFE: PET SICK DAYS ARE THE NEW EMPLOYEE-PERK BATTLEGROUND
NYC Council is considering legislation that would allow employees to use their existing paid sick time for pet-related medical care. Pet ownership has increased dramatically over time (even considering the last decade) so people want to be able to use their benefits for their 4 legged family members. While some companies already offer pet-related benefits like insurance and telehealth services, a good amount of employers are starting to scale back these perks considering the current economic climate. The proposed NYC bill wouldn't create additional paid time off but would extend existing sick-time laws to include pet care, and some business owners have actually already implemented pet bereavement policies.

FASHION: LULULEMON & DISNEY COLLAB
Disney has partnered with Lululemon for their first-ever athleisure collection, featuring 34 pieces that blend vintage Mickey and Minnie Mouse designs from the 1920s and 1930s with Lululemon's signature athletic wear. The limited-edition collection includes reimagined classics like the popular belt bag, hoodies, leggings adorned with Mickey ears, and the Define Jacket, all incorporating both brands' iconic logos. Each piece in the collection maintains Lululemon's athletic functionality while adding Disney's nostalgic charm, making the items particularly appealing as gifts, from practical accessories like beanies and socks to statement pieces like oversized pullovers. How do we feel about this?

ON DOING, NOT THINKING: If you spend too much time thinking about a thing, you'll never get it done. — Bruce Lee

Planning is great, but at some point you need to actually do. The more you think of it, the less you do it…but once you get to doing it, you’ll seriously get it done.

UTAH

EAT: Beaumont Bakery is a must for breakfast or lunch. For dinner, if you're in the mood for Italian, head to Valter's Osteria. After you see Valter's Legacy video, you'll be convinced, promise. Or for Mexican, head to Fácil Taqueria

STAY: For a luxury stay, you'll want to reserve The Lodge at Blue Sky. The 5-star hotel has plenty of activities such as art classes, cold plunging, fly fishing, archery, and helicopter adventures — this hotel is perfect in the winter. If you prefer a unique, farm stay then you’ll want to consider this AirBnB. In Deer Valley, the Montage offers beautiful accommodations nestled in the mountains.

DO: Visit the Bonneville Salt Flats, the remnants of an ancient lake or the Little Sahara Sand Dunes for ATV riding. To see the state from the top, book a hot air balloon ride. During the winter, there are a ton of activities in Park City such as dog sledding, tubing, and snowboarding.
