WELLNESS: IS OAT MILK GIVING YOU ACNE?
There may be a link between oat milk consumption and acne, even those tiny but persistent and perky little bumps. An NYC-based esthetician, Sofie Pavitt, (who specializes in acne) suggests that seed oils in many oat milks could cause breakouts. Oat milk's high glycemic index can cause insulin spikes and increased sebum production which means clogged pores, redness, and even irritation. Oats are also a very heavily sprayed crop, especially with glyphosate, so if you’re going to continue consuming it, maybe aim to make your own with steel cut oats.
