BUSINESS: ABERCROMBIE WON BY LEAVING TEENS BEHIND
Abercrombie & Fitch is working towards revitalizing its Hollister brand. Their sales have consistently been on the downfall while Abercrombie has grown tremendously. Hollister is focusing on reconnecting with post-pandemic teen shoppers by emphasizing comfort, introducing subtle design improvements, and launching new marketing campaigns. The brand is increasing its marketing budget, collaborating with young musicians, and leveraging social media trends.

BEAUTY: LOOSE POWDER VS. PRESSED POWDER
Powder is essential in your makeup routine and figuring out which kind is best for you can be tricky. Loose powder consists of finely milled dry ingredients and is great at blurring imperfections and controlling oil. Pressed powder, on the other hand, is more convenient and travel-friendly, often providing slightly more coverage. For dry skin, a finely milled loose powder may be best, while those with oily skin should opt for powders that control oil and blur texture. Loose powder is particularly useful for setting makeup and baking techniques, and pressed powder excels as a finishing touch or for touch-ups throughout the day.

TRAVEL: BERLIN TO PARIS ON A NIGHT TRAIN
Austrian railway ÖBB's Nightjet operates a new overnight train service between Paris and Berlin, that’s been reintroduced after a 13-year hiatus. Europe has been experiencing a growing trend in night trains, driven by environmental concerns and interest in slow travel. The service offers various accommodation options, from basic seats to private compartments with en-suite facilities. Convenient? Yes. But some passengers have reported mixed experiences when it comes to comfort, amenities, and food quality.

Those About to Die is a new series drama on Peacock taking place in Rome when it is the center of the Roman Empire and the wealthiest city in the world. Reliant on slave labor, the populatio is kept in line with free food, chariot racing and gladiator fights. Underground, beneath the stands, thousands of people work and live – among them many who will die for the games. This show is all about survival, family, and loyalty.

You should be wearing SPF year-round, but if nothing else, please wear it in the summer. Studies have also shown that chemical SPF ingredients are more irritating and harmful toward your hormones and skin — a 2020 FDA-funded study found that the only two safe SPF ingredients were Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, the primary bases of most mineral sunscreens on the market. Luckily, we’ve compiled a list of our favorite nontoxic sunscreens from skincare’s leading brands, so you don’t have to sacrifice style for substance.

ON TRAVEL: Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness. —Mark Twain

When we explore new places, cultures, and ways of life, we broaden our perspectives and challenge our preconceptions. Travel exposes us to diverse experiences and viewpoints, encouraging empathy and understanding. This exposure can break down stereotypes and biases we may have held, leading to a more open-minded and globally aware outlook on life.
