WORK LIFE: “HUSHED HYBRID” MEANS WHAT FOR YOUR COMPANY?
"Hushed hybrid" is a new workplace term which essentially describes employees working from home more than company policy allows, with manager approval. On one hand, it can increase employee engagement and flexibility, considering they’re in a chosen comfortable location. However, it may also create perceptions of inequity and cultural issues within companies, especially smaller ones where personal connections are more important. Experts suggest that leaders should prioritize clarity in communicating rationales for in-person work requirements while still allowing for flexibility to maintain productivity and engagement.

LIFESTYLE: TOXIC DATING RULES
Dating rules often lack nuance and fail to account for the complexity of human relationships. It is best to take a more compassionate, understanding approach to dating and relationships. A few rules that make sense: healing can occur within relationships, effort is necessary, uncertainty is normal, and rigid attachment style compatibility theories are oversimplified. Also important is to be open-minded, patient, and true to yourselves in dating experiences, rather than adhering strictly to prescribed rules.

WEALTH: USING YOUR CC FOR BIG BILLS = POINTS + FEES
Using credit cards for large expenses like rent, tuition, and taxes to earn points has become quite popular as more payment options move online. But experts warn that the fees associated with these transactions can exceed the value of rewards earned, so not a win-win situation. There are exceptions of course, such as cards with sign-up bonuses or special perks that can offset the fees. Generally, a 2% fee is considered the break-even point for rewards, but many payment platforms charge higher fees. It’s definitely worth the time to carefully evaluate whether the benefits outweigh the costs, when thinking of paying large sums with your CC(s).

This song is a modern electronic twist on the original Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes. Jaki Nelson x DJ Fluke together make this song a must for working out or when you’re feeling upbeat.

ON POWER OF THOUGHTS: “The only difference between you and who you want to be is the stories you tell yourself.” - Dr. Joe Dispenza

Our thoughts can be highly limiting to our growth and overall wellbeing. Part of manifestation as well is telling yourself stories where you have already made it and become who you want to be. Perhaps it all starts by telling yourself stories…
