LIFESTYLE: BECOME AN ATHLETE AT ANY AGE
If you’re inspired by the Olympics — it’s never too late to pick up a new sport. Try one based on your personal interests and perhaps starting with structured classes for proper instruction, and building consistent habits through small goals. Refrain from investing heavily in equipment initially and instead try exploring local resources like parks and recreation departments or social media groups to find suitable classes or leagues. Adults can gain significant benefits from sports participation, including improved physical fitness, skill development, and social connections, regardless of their starting point or previous experience.
FASHION: LUXURY BRANDS’ REPUTATIONS ARE FALLING
Luxury brands are facing a challenge according to the Global RepTrak 100 study, with many top luxury brands seeing a decline in their reputation rankings. This could not have come at a better time (not really though) as the global personal luxury market is experiencing a slowdown, with growth decelerating throughout the past 2 years. In the states alone there was an 8% decline in revenue in 2023. While overall brand reputations are improving in what RepTrak calls a "reputation renaissance," luxury brands seem to be lagging behind, potentially losing some of their allure, as other non-luxury brands, especially those in fast fashion, gain ground with their consumers.
WORK LIFE: HOW WOMEN CAN NETWORK WHEN STARTING FROM 0
Women often excel at networking, due to their focus on building meaningful relationships rather than transactional interactions. The best ways to network include being authentic and leveraging emotional intelligence. There are five practical strategies for successful networking: thorough preparation, cultivating genuine connections, developing a diverse network, seeking mentorship, and consistent follow-up.
3am in NYC is what you want to play while on a late night drive & the name definitely stands by the vibe of it. Although the lyrics may not be relatable for you, if you’re looking for a groovy tempo, this is it!

ON PHYSICAL HEALTH: Take care of your body. It's the only place you have to live. — JIM ROHN
Physical health forms the foundation for mental clarity, emotional stability, and the ability to pursue goals and enjoy daily activities. It’s not just about looking good, but also feeling good and living a long life. Prioritizing physical health through proper nutrition, regular exercise, and adequate rest is an investment in one's future, enabling individuals to lead more fulfilling and productive lives.
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE
EAT: For the best pizza ever, head over to Basecamp pizza. Finding a table may be tough—it's best to check the bar area as well for open seating. Dinner at Edgewood Tahoe would be quite memorable with stunning views of the lake. Driftwood Cafe offers delicious breakfast and lunch options that aren't as fancy, but just as delicious. About 30 miles north of South Lake Tahoe, there is Tahoe House Bakery that is worth every minute of the long drive. If you prefer to cook yourself, there is a Whole Foods Market in South Lake Tahoe as well.
STAY: For a luxurious stay, you'll want to reserve Edgewood Tahoe or Desolation Hotel. Edgewood is right on the lake and also has a stunning golf course. Desolation Hotel is one of the newest properties in Tahoe and is stunning. Tahoe also has cozy/modern cabins on Airbnb like this and this. There are plenty of other accommodations all around the lake. If you're booking for a long weekend holiday, you'll need to book 3+ months in advance for the best options.
DO: Tahoe is a great option during both the summer and winter months. During the summer, jumping into the lake is a must. You can rent kayaks or a boat. There are plenty of trails to take up as well. For a little extra adventure, visit Tahoe Treetop Adventures—you get to zipline and play in a park...up in the trees! If you happen to visit during the winter, head over to Heavenly for a 2.4-mile gondola ride. Once you get to the mountain, you can ski, snowboard, or go tubing. If you're staying at Edgewood, you can enjoy s'mores in the evening.
