FASHION: RENT THE RUNWAY COMEBACK
The CEO of Rent the Runway, Jenn Hyman says the company will be pushing towards marketing and more inventory in order to increase profitability. The stock of the company soared last week as well. Rent the Runway had some difficult years previously with layoffs and store closures. With their new CMO, they will tap into influencer marketing and in-person events.

BUSINESS: TESLA LAYOFFS INCLUDE 14% OF BUFFALO WORKERS
Tesla is laying off 285 employees (~14% of its workforce) at its Buffalo, New York facilities. This is part of the company's plan to trim its EV market. This isn’t new to them as Tesla previously let go of 4% of its Autopilot labeling team there in 2022, just a day after workers launched a unionization campaign.

REAL ESTATE: NEW YORK IS PASSING A BIG HOUSING DEAL
NY is pursuing a major overhaul of its housing policies, attempting to boost affordable housing construction and strengthen protections for existing tenants against evictions and rent increases. The complex deal includes a "good cause" eviction protection & incentives to convert offices into apartments and adjustments to regulations on rent-regulated units.

To make ends meet (and overcome homelessness) after escaping an abusive relationship, Alex turns to housecleaning, as she aspires to create a better life for her daughter, Maddy.
