LIFESTYLE: THE PILL THAT MANY ARE NOW TAKING FOR ANXIETY
Hollywood’s current “little blue pill” is propranolol, a beta blocker originally for heart issues that some A-listers use off-label to steady nerves before red carpets and, yes, first dates. By blocking adrenaline, it can dial down the physical jitters (racing heart, shaky hands, sweaty palms), though research on its overall anxiety benefits is mixed. It’s non-addictive and not sedating, but it still carries risks and side effects—so it’s not a casual cure-all.

FASHION: WEARING SUMMER PIECES INTO THE FALL
Transitional outfits are tricky and have the best of us stumped since going from tank tops + shorts to denim + layers isn’t just something that happens overnight & for the struggling fashion fanatic, it’s a big stressor. The good news is, you can enjoy your summer pieces well into the Fall, similar to Jennifer Lawrence at NYFW, when she turned her summer flip-flops into a fall-worthy outfit by styling them with baggy jeans and a basic black tee, then layering on a luxurious black fur stole to elevate the look.

WELLNESS: CONSUMERS SPEND $500B ON WELLNESS
Americans now drop $500B+ a year on wellness, and McKinsey says the next wave is coming from six lanes: functional nutrition (protein, adaptogens, nootropics), beauty-meets-health (ingestibles + skincare), longevity (energy, focus, recovery), IRL experiences (retreats, baths, yoga), weight management (GLP-1s, strength, gut health), and mental health (sleep, movement, community). Translation: breakthrough brands will win by turning these unmet needs into everyday habits—not just “treats,” but true essentials.

This is the song that you want to play at the highest volume, windows down, on a warm + breezy day. Not to mention, you’ll definitely be singing the “i don’t care, I LOVE IT” parts!

IN COLLABORATION WITH

🤳🏼 “unfortunately I do love” trend that’s taking over

This Fall, we’re trading our sneakers and heels for clogs. The nice thing about clogs is they come in all shapes, sizes and styles. There are clogs out there for those who want to be cozy, and there are clogs for those who want to make a fashion statement.

ON KISMET: “You can’t miss what’s meant for you. Opportunities meant for you don’t pass you by — they loop back when you’re ready.”

What’s truly yours won’t slip away. If you aren’t ready the first time, the right opportunity has a way of circling back when you are.

CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA

EAT: For something different, you’ll want to experience The Happy Uncles. It’s fine dining with a Cape Malay influence, which allows you to see + taste the creative use of local ingredients. It’s also halal — for those who prefer. The Seven Colours Eatery is a place you’ll want to visit for bright, casual, hearty food. It’s good for lunch; flavorful plates, and is a V&A Waterfront location.

STAY: For an escape into luxury, you’ll have to add the Taj Cape Town to your list. It’s a 5-star hotel in the heart of the city, on Wale Street & occupies heritage buildings. In most rooms you’ll also have the view of Table Mountain. The Silo Hotel is another luxury option, and a very stylish one if you ask us. It’s right at the V&A Waterfront, fantastic for art lovers (right above the Zeitz MOCAA), and has excellent views over the city and harbor. There are also other options for you to explore!

DO: The Table Mountain Aerial Cableway/potential hike is what you’re going to partake in for an iconic Cape Town view. You can take the cable car up or hike up via several trails if you’re feeling adventurous for an unforgettable view at the top. You can also visit Cape Point/Cape Peninsula for great scenery, ocean views, wildlife, and coastal drives. PS - it’s a full-day trip but worth it.
